Medical University of Plovdiv – History, Faculties, and Admission Process
The Medical University of Plovdiv was founded in 1945 and is one of Bulgaria’s leading institutions for medical education. It has a long tradition of training doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. The university is recognized internationally and provides education in both Bulgarian and English for local and international students.
Faculty of Medicine – General Medicine programs for Bulgarian and international students.
Faculty of Dental Medicine – Dentistry programs.
Faculty of Pharmacy – Pharmacy programs.
Faculty of Public Health – Public health and healthcare management programs.
Department of Languages and Specialized Training – Preparatory language courses and specialized English/Bulgarian training.

Visa Permission – An application is submitted to the Bulgarian Ministry of Education to obtain the official permission required for a Type D Student Visa.
Visa Application – Once the permission document is issued (typically 4–5 weeks), students can apply for a student visa.
Start of Studies – After receiving the visa (processing time around 35–45 days), students may travel to Bulgaria and begin their studies.
