St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo is a public state university located in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. It was founded on 15 September 1963 and is rooted in the traditions of Bulgarian education and culture. The university originally started as a higher education institute and later expanded into a full‑fledged university with its current name. It is one of the largest and most respected universities outside the Bulgarian capital, with more than 18,000 students enrolled in diverse academic fields.
